Can you offer Teddy a new home?
Breed: Jack Russell Terrier
Colour: Tan and White
Age: 7 months.
Time with us: 8 weeks.
Teddy is only 6 months old and has a rough ride before coming to us. He was hand reared from birth as his mum rejected him, and formed a very strong bond with the people who raised him, subsequently he wouldn't let anyone near his female owner especially, and got very cross when people came to the house. It took a while for us to make friends with Teddy, and its upsetting to see a 6 month old pup with so many behavioural issues. Teddy needs space when he is eating, or has a high value chew, and also around toys. He does not like traffic and will lunge out at cars- although this is getting better. He is a very scared and worried boy and is desperate to find an owner that has owned Terrier's before, and knows their feisty ways.
Now Teddy has settled with us, he is a very affectionate and happy boy when away from the triggers that upset him. He is a very scared boy and didn't know how to socialise with other dogs. But now, he has a big list of dog walking buddies of all breeds here with us. We feel that he would probably be better with an older, confident bitch that can give him the boost that he needs in a new home. He does have a tendency to nip, so he cannot live with children, or have visiting children to the house.'
