Beautiful Ellie is quite the stunner... but there's much more to her than just what meets the eye! Ellie (or Little Miss Sass Pants as she should be renamed!) is a headstrong young lady who likes to be in charge. She is inquisitive, chatty and very bright... but she can have a feisty side which she will gladly show when she's not getting her own way!! She loves to play and is at her happiest when she's rolling about covered head to toe in catnip.
Ellie came to us due to someone in the household being allergic. In her previous home Ellie had always been a housecat but going forward she would definitely like the opportunity to explore the great outdoors. As you can see from her picture, she is very inquisitive when it comes to the big wide world and we think much of her grumpiness is pent up frustration because she is so desperate to get out and explore! She absolutely loves to dive around playing with toys and jumping in the air to catch strings. We think the day she finally gets to play outside in the grass will be the making of her.
Ellie is a complex character with lots of quirks, so would need a home with people who have experience of cats as she would run rings around a first time owner!! The cattery environment does not help with Ellie's temperament as she gets very cross as soon as she sees another cat, so sadly she is always a little on guard and pent up here. In a home environment we think Ellie will flourish as she is very happy and content when she's left to her own devices and given the freedom of where she can explore. However, it's safe to say Ellie has had her feisty moments with us, so new owners need to be aware this pretty lady is not a walk in the park. All in all she's easy to be around... but we find the issues begin as soon as the time comes for her to go back in her pod and she can really put a fight when you want her to go somewhere she doesn't want to go!
A home as the only pet is a must for Ellie and she couldn't be rehomed with young children. She has been around children previously and with apparantly no issues, but we'd be more comfortable rehoming Ellie somewhere where there are adults only. Once she's settled in a home her feisty side will probably calm and become a rarity, but to be on the safe side we wouldn't want her around young children. We'd consider a home with teenagers if we felt it was the right match for Ellie.
Ellie is a young girl with so much potential to be a fantastic addition to the right home. She is fun, fiery and full of character!'
