Can you offer Otis a new home?
Age: 1 year 8 months.
Time with us: 8 weeks.
This stunning boy is Otis, he is a Black Russian Terrier crossed with a Greyhound - and there's also a sprinkling of Staffie in him too! Otis has come in to us due to his reactivity issues around cats and squirrels in the garden, and also shadows. He has seen a behaviourist previously who have advised his owners to rehome him to a quiter household.
We have found Otis to be a loveable and playful boy, he loves chasing after his toys and has quite the collection in his bed! He enjoys his walks and is happy meeting both men and women. He dislikes his beard on his face being brushed and also his feet. When he gets excited he can mouth, so this will need working on.
Otis does not like other dogs, and he can become a bit of a handful around them- he will need to ideally attend training classes or have one on one help to get him more socialised around them.
Otis is house trained, and he also travels well. He is also ok being left for around 4 hours.
Otis does have skin problems, and is on medication to control this. His previous vets have said that he is allergic to chicken- so he is fed a fish based diet which is helping.'
