Can you offer Victoria a new home?

Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Colour: Black
Sex: Female
Age: 10 years 1 month.
Time with us: 4 weeks.

Victoria and Vivienne are in need of understanding new owners with time and patience to let them settle. The girls were feral as kittens and although they've been pets for the past 10 years, they still revert back scared and timid cats when anything is out of their comfort zone.

Unfortunately their owners new baby was allergic to the sisters, so they were forced to give them up for adoption. In their previous home the girls adapted well but Vivienne has always been very timid and lacks confidence when approached, so is happiest when she is left to do her own thing. Over time Victoria will let down her guard and would approach her owners for a fuss and to sit on their knee.

Since being with us their whole world has tipped upside down. Being indoor cats all of their life means they had never experienced anything outside of those 4 walls, so the past few weeks with us have been really difficult for the girls to get to grips with. Victoria is coming round slowly and enjoys time out of her pod in the cat social and will approach us inquisitively for a quick fuss. Vivienne is very much the more reserved of the two and prefers to spend her time out rolling around in catnip and keeping at a distance. They are making tiny baby steps and getting more confident every day, but are always going to have a nervous side to their personalities.

Given their background these girls are looking for someone super understanding who will let them be the cats they want to be. In time we hope they'll settle and find their roles just as they did in their previous home, but going to a new home is going to be like starting over for them so it is important they aren't put under any pressure.

They would be best suited to an adult only home where they are the only pets.'
