Meet Mr Chops, a Tom cat who had been fending for himself as an unclaimed stray. He had gotten himself into some fights which has resulted in him being positive for FIV. He is otherwise a very healthy boy and cats with FIV tend to live healthy, normal lives.. the only difference is Mr Chops will need an indoor only home to reduce the risk of him infecting other felines. Mr chops is otherwise a very tolerant boy, he will grumble doing something he dislikes but hasn’t retaliated, he likes a fuss but does find the presence of other cats in the cattery stressful.
Mr chops is not a fan of other cats and at least for now he couldn’t share his home.. we’re working on this to see if he could come around and live with other FIV positive cats. Mr chops could live with cat-savvy children from 8 years of age. He will need an indoor only home, though access to a catio would be ideal.
