Meet Fred he maybe slightly older in years but still has lots of get up and go. Fred came into the centre with three other companions, they came into the centre via one of our RSPCA officers after all four were living in very unsuitable conditions.
Upon entry it was very obvious that Fred had a issue with his back leg of which he couldn't weight bare at all. He was seen to by the Vets and it was determined that he would need the leg amputating, of which he had this done on the same day as being seen. Thankfully his surgery was a success and he is already getting around much better and feels much happier now.

Fred would love a new home with a comfy bed and a cosy lap to sit on. He will need a quiet home with someone who has plenty of time to give him all the love and attention he needs. We feel a home with older children 13yrs and above would be ideal for Fred. He could possibly live with another dog of similar size and maybe a dog friendly cat.

We are not sure if Fred has ever had much experience on a lead or outside of the home. We are confident with some encouragement and patience he will soon learn to enjoy his walks, and realise it is not as scary as he thinks.
