Volunteers are the lifeblood of our charity and we couldn’t operate without them. There are multiple ways in which you could help by giving a little of your time to us whenever you can.

You can use the application form  to apply for any of our voluntary roles. Once you’ve applied, you may be invited to attend an induction morning. Here, we will take you through the health and safety requirements, talk about our work at our Animal Home and give you the tips for best practice when dealing with the animals.

Most voluntary roles are for over 18s but we can accept volunteers aged 16-18 with parental consent.

Animal Care (Over 18's Only)

Get hands on with our animals, you can dog walk, cat, rabbit and guinea pig cuddle or help clean and prepare the units.

Non-Animal Focused Roles

Here at Hillfield we require not only Animal Care staff but a variety of other roles.

Are you good at gardening or DIY? Put your skills to good use. We are always on the lookout for gardeners and maintenance people for the animal home.

Are you good on the phone or a wiz on the photocopier? We are looking for keen receptionists to join our office team.

Work Experience (Colleges & Universities)
