Meet the gorgeous Daisy who would be unrecognisable from when she first came into RSPCA care, due to having severe alopecia... her coat is now thick, healthy and looks beautiful! She's such a sweet lady and would like to say hello to everyone and anyone she comes across. She's keen to greet staff in the mornings and give us our daily cuddles. She likes to walk at the end of a lead but walks well past other people and most dogs. She's very tolerant of being handled and recently enjoyed a professional groom.
She's currently in a foster home and has been very good in this home, likes to sleep on a sofa or human bed and is happy to spend some time on her own when given a kong to keep her occupied. She's mostly clean in the home and lets her fosterer know when it's time to get up and go to the toilet in the morning!
Daisy has met cats at our centre and was a very polite girl, occasionally she'd become excited and bark but for the most part she was unbothered and friendly and so she could share her home with a dog-savvy cat. Daisy can be hit-and-miss with other dogs and, whilst she's not aggressive, she will make her boundaries known and set corrections to any pushy dogs. We think she'd be better as the only dog in a home, though we may consider applicants with another dog based on successful meetings. Daisy could live with dog-savvy children from 10 years of age based on a meet, though we may consider younger if sensible.
If you'd be interested in adopting Daisy, please feel free to fill out an application form or call us to enquire.'
