Can you offer Stanley a new home?

**RESERVED**
At only 10 months old Stanley has not had a very good start to life. He came into our care via the Inspectorate as he was kept in awful conditions. As a result of this, he was initially very unsure at the love we were trying to give him. He didn't know what we were offering him or how to respond. In the short time Stanley has been with us, he is starting to show his true colors and show some affection and happiness. We believe he will only grow in confidence when he is adopted and a bond developed over time.

He can forget his manners occasionally due to being worried, but some extra training and reminders to be polite helps him remember to be calm and affectionate. He is sharp as a whip and can pick up on things quickly! He would love for you to teach him a trick or two as you get to know one another. He is already learning how to respond to his name and sit.

On walks Stanley is starting to explore and become curious, but he does need that reassurance and encouragement when experiencing new things. When he meets other dogs he can become vocal and bouncy. This is purely down to his excitement and wanting to play with his new friend, which he has never had before. He can easily be controlled, is starting to listen to us and understand what he should be doing and when. We believe Stanley could be adopted into a home with a relaxed dog, who will be able to teach him what to do.

Stanley will need to go to someone home more often than not while he settles in. If you have dog confident children aged 8 years and over that understand when to be quiet and calm, he might also be suited to them.

If you feel you can give Stanley a loving home please fill out the online application form or call our reception for more information.'
